Tenon fm isn’t like other FM service providers. We are different because of what we do, how we think and what we say. So, on this page we want share our thoughts, opinions and comments on what’s going on in the markets and sectors we operate in and the issues our people and our customers face. Let us know what you think too – take a look and you will gain a sense of what we do and how we do it.

Two of our UH Tenon fm members nominated at the VCA awards – March 2021

Fantastic news from our team at University of Hertfordshire; 2 of our UH Tenon fm members were nominated at the VCA awards in March 2021. Anton De Villiers and Mo Islam were nominated for Professional of the Year and part of Team of the Year respectively. “It is great to be recognised at such awards as we are competing with thousands of people/contractors at UH, hence why I would like to show them my gratitude” – Ivan Zambrano, Partnership Director. We love to hear that our team is working hard and that they are being recognised for their exceptional work. We take pride in the achievements our team accomplish and continue to set themselves ever-growing goals for a better day, everyday.

Choose value, not price

Given the challenges of C19 the market for facilities management is steadily improving. Many organisations are optimistic, forecasts are strong and the mood reported by the media is positive. The volume of business and opportunities is on the rise, and work in the public sector particularly, is being determined based on a strong move towards value rather than just price. This is evidenced by the inclusion of social value as well as simply the cost.

Workplace culture: the true test of productivity

The Tenon FM view is that an FM supplier’s objective is to provide the critical support services that our customers choose not to do themselves. What we do allows our customers to focus on core business, their customers and their own vision and values Our activities should assist our customers to ensure their staff work effectively and efficiently especially as they return to the workplace after C19 Lockdown. How you define that is the challenge. Is effectiveness about efficiency? For Tenon the understanding is self-evident. The more effective we are it making space available to users, the more likely it is the users will be efficient.
